TRZ Saturday Teen Outreach Program (STOP)

Trisha Sisson, STOP Coordinator

Since 2000, TRZ has offered the Saturday Teen Outreach Program from 7-10 p.m. for youth in grades 7-12. The purpose of STOP is to give our local youth a safe place to come have fun, food and fellowship. The youth can participate in various activities such as basketball, volleyball, arcade games, video games, ping-pong, air hockey, and board games. In addition to various games and activities, they have a snack bar available to them where they can purchase snacks and drinks for an affordable price. Volunteers are responsible for operating the snack bar, mentoring and chaperoning youth each week.

We also offer a special Saturday program at 8 p.m. where the youth hear a challenging message from a special speaker. Over the course of the past ten years, the Saturday Teen Outreach Program has served a special place in the lives of the Frewsburg youth. There are currently 248 youth registered for our Saturday Teen Outreach Program and 25 youth attend the program weekly.

Mission Statement
It is the desire of The Relief Zone, Inc. Community Youth Center to reach, impact, and serve the youth of our community. TRZ’s programs meet an array of needs in our community and, importantly, provide an alternative to dangerous or delinquent activities for youth. We want to see youth encouraged and mature both socially and educationally.
